Rules

To get a full description of the rules of Checkers this game plays, press the Rules button on the main game screen.

This game plays the standard rules of checkers. In particular, if you can capture a piece, you must capture it (you can't ignore it and move another piece instead). The game will not let you make a move which breaks these rules, and it does not cheat.

There are many different variations on the rules of Checkers that people play. Many play the rule that you do not have to take a piece. However we wanted to use one set of rules for the game, so went for the "standard" rules of checkers. For more information on these rules, click on the link below:
